I've used 2 Mcintosh 2102s running in mono bridged, Mcintosh 352, and Mcintosh mc601s. They all sounded really good, but the 601s with the added power makes an amazing combination. I wasn't surprised how good the 2102s sounded. Testament to how good the c1100 is because I always paired solid state preamps with the 2102s. My second favorite preamp that I own matched with the 601s is the Cary Audio SLP-05. Cary's best to date IMO!
