No base boom at all!

Many Westminster owners think its better to have the Westminster's positioned in the room corners reasoning that this position increases bass response (due to the Westminster been a horn).

My feeling with the set-up I listened to, soundstage was compromised- it appeared to me to be pushed to the left- & the sofa in front of the speakers absorbed some treble energy as well.

I felt that the Westminster's needed was to be pulled into the room about 2 metres, the right hand wall needed to be damped & the sofa removed.

I'm still suffering withdrawal symptoms from that day- that 'spotlighting voices from within' effect that these Westminster's produced had to be heard to be believed.

The best speakers I'd listened to previously were massive Von Schweikert VR11's driven by VTL Siegfried's (in triode) with Top-of-the-line VTL pre-amp & Phono Stage & an SME 20.2 with SMEV tonearm with a Dynavector DRT XV-1 cartridge- set-up in a dedicated room that alone cost over $150k to get the sound the owner wanted - and the Westminster's poorly set-up with an Amp I don't like with a PlayStation 3 as source just BLEW IT AWAY!!

Bluemcintosh must be in a constant state of bliss with his system- I look at Bluemcintosh's system with a combination of lust & envy- in fact all 7 deadly sins.
