I have a pair of VTL 450MKII amps, which replaced an older pair of VTL 300 Deluxe mono blocks. Both amps work great with my B&W 801S3's, Thiel CS6's and Acoustat Spectra 33's speakers. All my speakers are tough loads and the VTL drive them with ease.
The switch to the 450's was, for the most part a technology upgrade. The Auto Biasing feature is a huge plus. The increase in wattage is nice too.
The 300's were upgraded by VTL twice and their service and support is outstanding. There factory is 200 miles from my home and for each upgrade I delivered the amps myself. The owners have always treated me as a valued customer.
