For the arm to be able to index requires clearance between the arm and lift when the lift is in the fully up position. Which in turn defeats the lift. With mine the only way I can play a record is if the lift is set to down position. Otherwise arm is impeded by the lift and cannot advance. It is self relegating in this regard. Stumped how it can work w/o setting it before playing a record?
