Gentlemen.......I suggest a deep breath is in order. The topic of audio cables has always been controversial. Empirical evidence of performance claims is routinely unavailable or worse, nonexistent. Individual attitudes about cable value verses performance claims is largely based on personal opinion. Lest we forget:
o·pin·ion
noun
⬥ a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
⬥ the beliefs or views of a large number or majority of people about a particular thing.
⬥ an estimation of the quality or worth of someone or something.
synonyms: school of thought, way of thinking, point of view, perspective
This controversial subject is one that has been beat to death over the years on this forum and many others but obviously continues to be of interest to some despite strong opposing points of view. Keeping discussions civil is the trick when discussing cables. We are all in it for the same thing, i.e. high quality audio reproduction. The level at which any of us plays is strictly a personal commitment. It is useless and pointless to tread on each other's toes over such things where opinions on such a subjective topic is unlikely to ever produce a definitive answer that will satisfy all.
Let's not forget that Audio Aficionado is the "Friendly Forum for High-End Audio".
My suggestion is this. If a thread, any thread, becomes less than enjoyable to participate in, ignore it. There are some cases where silence truly is golden.
Most of all, lets keep the peace.
