George - VPI offers an arm modification called the Dual Pivot adapter which provides an additional pivot point and eliminates arm wobble. Many users have reported improved sound as well from having a more stable arm. I don't see it listed on VPI's site but it's available from their dealers and is a relatively easy installation. Cost is $150 and Ivan should be able to get it for you. This should resolve your problem at a nominal cost!
