I love my Focus Audio's, but if I ever were to upgrade, I had 2 pairs on my short list: Sonus Faber's Olympica III and the Thiel CS 3.7. I'm sure there are others equally deserving, but where I live, these were the top two models I had the chance to audition first hand.
Long story short, these are now inbound:
Thiel CS 3.7 Les Paul Signature Special Edition. Only about 13 pairs were made. Signed individually by Les Paul just months before he passed, with Gibson's signature sunburst finish applied at its custom shop in Nashville. A true work of art, and one that I just couldn't pass on.
