Detachable cable would be a welcomed feature as the stock cable is way too long and cumbersome for these headphones that can easily be used with portable devices due to their impedance and sensitivity.
I'm not in the market as I am smitten with my current favorite pair of ZMF Auteur Blackwoods and don't have any plans to change for any foreseeable future but would seriously recommend the Fostex X00 in either version in Ebony. Great headphones.
