I think they would work OK, when I did my room I checked out curtains from all the usual places including Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn and Ballard Design. I did Pottery Barn curtains...they were the best band for the buck for me. I went with standard curtains, not the blackouts....the blackouts were pretty heave and my room is already pretty dark as it is so I wanted some filtered light. Here's a link to my system thread, the curtains are a bit darker then they look in the picture, this is with full sun right on them, they look a bit thicker most other times. Check out Ballard Designs, they have some pretty nice stuff too.
