I borrowed a pair of The PS Audio Noise Harvesters to see what they would do.
Well. on the amplifier line.. nothing. I wondered if they worked?
After moving them around on other electrical circuits, yes they work just fine. And if I turn on the dimmer on another circuit, the amp AC circuit lights up the Harvester!
So I guess I am just lucky and have no noise on my stereo lines.
I was also able to use the Harvester to discover which items make noise.
Mainly three items: The dimmer, (but full on, no noise generated, also none full off) My laptop computer's charger, and the plasma TV. only when turned on, standbye no noise. Those are the only things making/adding noise.
The laptop charger and the plasma do not add noise to the amp line. (even though they are on the same circuit...) both are behind conditioners from the amp line
