Default Submerge Subwoofer

Wilson has just released its new Submerge subwoofer at 30K. It weighs in at 319 pounds and goes down to 5 Hz. It's a dual spider design similar to the Subsonic or Thor. I believe the Thor has been discontinued. I think that 99.9% of folks buying an XVX will choose the Subsonic. There simply is no place anymore in the lineup for the Thor. I think the Submerge is a natural Thor replacement for either the Alexx V or Alexia V. Subsonics for either of these speakers are too expensive. I suspect that the amplification is Class D. The Magico Titan is priced at 32K and weighs in at 390 pounds. The McIntosh PS2K subwoofer weighs in at 458 pounds and is priced at 50K. The subwoofer market has exploded with new very expensive but very high quality subs. it would be interesting to hear these subs to see how they compare to each other.

Best
