Right now all my music sits on a hard drive in my windows 7 professional 64 bit computer ripped with DBL power amp.
So computer has sent entire library to the Sony computer is now out of the loop.
Network hard wired To the Sony Hapz1es which has its own hard dive 1tb I use an app downloaded to talk to the Sony.
If I get ps audio and say get roon and a nas drive do I need to install roon on my computer.
and then does my iPad talk to the PS audio or does the PC need to be on.
I don't want to leave the Pc on.
I am a bit lost as you can tell!!!
1. Did you get the Bridge II option on the DS DAC?
2. What is your NAS system? Does it have a UPNP server that can render to a DLNA client?
3. Do you need Roon?

If the answer to all 3 is Yes.
Roon Knowledge Base - Roon Server on NAS

You'd need a pretty high spec and fairly recent hence powerful CPU on the NAS to do the streaming from Roon/NAS to the Bridge II. I believe the Roon app would see the Roon running on the NAS and you can control it from the app.

If you don't need Roon a lot of guys have been using something like MinimServer on their NAS to render to the Bridge II. And something like MConnect on the iOS device.
