Best way to move 800 series up and down stairs.
B&W owners (and other large speaker owners) - I am preparing for some home renovations and as such, my Signature 800s will need to be moved up at least one, maybe two flights of stairs.
When I bought these beasts, I totally underestimated what 275 lb (each) speakers would be to move.
I had a very strong friend with a dolly help me downstairs the first time. It was unbelievably hard to do, awkward and extremely heavy.
I cannot imagine how heavy they will be going UP stairs.
If I had the original boxes I could imagine boxing them up and having 3-4 men would be better. I called B&W who said they don’t have replacement boxes, so that idea is out.
What do you folks do when moving giant speakers around to different levels of your house?
