You should consider that a importer or distributer must make sure that all approvals CE/IEC are complete, pay tariffs or duty, set-up warehousing, inventory carrying costs, a repair network trained and available since they will be responsible for the warranty in most instances. In addition to these costs you have added in another level of profit that must be built into the end price.
