Have been "surfing around" looking for a preamp to go with my newly refurbished Kenwood L-07M mono-block amps and see that the Freya has been 'up-graded' to the FreyaS (solid-state/passive $599) or the Freya+ (tubes/SS/passive $899). While I've found the previous Schitt I've owned to be 'good' rather than 'great', am thinking I would rather give the Freya+ a try (with a 15-day return policy & 5yr warranty) as opposed to going with something used for considerably more and the possibility of problems. A real "+" for me is the fact I have a couple of dozen 6SN7s of various flavors and is one of my favorite tubes.
