I was referring to smooth, painted plastic surfaces such as trim items that are painted body color and such.
If the plastic areas are
textured, then absolutely not. The reason is that when polish/wax will turn whitish when it dries and is extremely difficult to remove.
The product recommended above is excellent for treating textured plastic items.
