Default Question for our Car Enthusiasts Who Like to Detail Their Cars

My son and I just split the cost of his first car. We purchased a 2006 Lexus GX470 with 130,000 miles. Always loved the look and capabilities of this car so both of us were excited to get it.

There are some scuffs and marks on the plastic bumper covers in the rear along with the plastic door moulding. The car is a semi dark blue and the plastic pieces match the color of the car. I believe I am not supposed to wax plastic. What are some of the products that I can use on these parts to help me match the shine of the rest of the car? Also, any simple ways to minimize the appearance of the scuffs?
