The AM reception is pretty amazing on the MR88, I don't use it very often but it's nice to know it's there. Right now I feel like the MR88 is still the best tuner for me, even though there may be some sound quality improvements with a MD tuner, it'd be hard to give up the AM, HD channels and XM.
