It is an obsession much like most other hobbies out there. The scale "trail" and "crawler" 4WD trucks have grown into competitions being held nationally at least a few times a year in various states along with charity events for good causes. It draws in all ages across the board. RC hobby whether air, sea or land offers various levels of technical levels of builds and complexity with the simpler models being enjoyed by the younger generation and very complex and "scale" models by seasoned pilots and drivers.
