Hi All, just made my first visit to AA – planned on ten minutes or so. Now, about 3 hours has just slipped by and thought I should say hi.
Picking up on the ‘Lurking’ theme in many of the new introductions, I have to admit to Lurking occasionally in the Shindo forums and amazed at the knowledge and experience, so will be doing some serious Lurking there and other places. I’ll intro my system etc. once I’ve found my way around and mastered the protocols.
Being a 1946 London Baby Boomer, I grew up with valves in everything, radio’s TV and even the car radio, so the sound is imprinted in my brain. And listening to a good system is in the genes. Dad had a complete Quad set-up with a Garrard 301 and Decca FFSS cart and amazing Tannoy corner speakers (can’t remember the model) plus various Reel to Reels. He had the same system from about 1955 to 2000.
