Your perception of Stillpoints is the opposite of mine. I find the bass tightened up and soundstage is more defined with sharper imaging.

There are many discussions in this issue in many forums. One suggested reason for the difference in listening experience is the room, particularly the flooring. In my place, the floor is concrete slab with steel bar reinforcement. I guess things are a little difference for wooden floor. I have not tried on wooden floor, so I am just guessing.
