Sometime back in December after reading Ivan post recommending the Emotiva cmx-2, I placed an order from Amazon.
The unit was backordered and I finally received it a few weeks ago.
In the meantime it looked as if the hum from my amps had gone away. (It was never constant). So I did not bother trying to install it.
Today, all of the sudden, the hum came back. So I plugged in the Emotiva device and the hum went away immediately.
The hum was very low and did not increase with volume. Also, I do not know if it actually affected the sound. That said, the hum is gone.
