For me some of the best experiences with live music have come from going to small clubs and chatting with the musicians afterwards (often at the bar). From Buddy Guy at the Checkerboard Lounge, to Bruce Hornsby (also in Chicago, before he got famous), to the surviving members of Lynyrd Skynyrd at a bar in Jackson Hole (they left me in their wake). I'm usually in awe. Thanks for the report!
