Congratulations on your daughter, and it sounds like you have your head in straight. I agree with Serge re headphones for serious private listening, but go ahead and build that 2-channel system. When my son was born we had music in the house as much as possible, and he loved it. There’s nothing like finding the music that gets your toddler dancing!
