You'd be amazed by what can be had at HD and Lowes. Their (Carol) 14-3, 12-3, and 12-4 wire can make a hell of a power cord, with a little work. Want a fancier-looking cord? Perhaps one as thick as a firehouse to be wrapped in a custom jacket? All the supplies are there, as well. HD sells P&S plugs, which are also very good.
