Strads are completely different design, different shape, different baffle, Strads have 2 woofers that are larger. While the Amati is good speaker, the Strads are better. The Amati are wonderful when set up properly but are harder to use in a smaller room. The Strads believe it or not although larger are more forgiving in the set up. If you want a smaller Strad buy the Elipsa’s
