I have the 452 driving my Salon2's and love the sound. Do not feel underpowered in any way. However, you need to take into account the size of your room, the type of music you listen to, and the volume level you prefer. Perhaps a large room and a large scale classical piece at concert level volume might make the 452 cry uncle, but I've never tried it
