Yes it is but I think it quite wonderful that you can get almost all the value of the Alexx in a V2, possibly even more coherence. The V2 will be
the speaker of choice for majority and it should be. I encourage anyone considering an audiophile loudspeaker to look carefully at the Alexia V2 or an upgrade from V1 to V2. I am sure you won't be disappointed. But I warn you, when you hear it, over the next year you may become a good bit poorer. I had no intention of doing my upgrade (see my threads) but it seemed impossible for me to stop before doing what I knew needed to be done to get the best out of the Alexx. I warn you that the same may happen if you buy a V2. So be prepared.
