I can't compare this two models but i was made an A/B comparison between a Grandioso Full Stack vs K-03X, in the same system (Soulution 711 mono's, Soulution top of the line Preamp, Magico Q7, Kharma cables) with the same cd and sacd, and the difference was minimum.
Of course the Grandioso sounds a little bit better (bass a little bit fuller and softer highs) than the K-03X but in any case sounds 5x or 6x better.
This is the reason because i buy a K-03X, i have SO MUCH of the Grandioso Full Stack performance at 5x or 6x less money.
I think that the D-02X vs D1 is the same kind of comparison that i was made, the D1 is better for sure but the D-02X is a very excellent DAC and at this quality level is very difficult to find an enormous difference.
