True, but if you're willing to do a bit of the "work" you can do pretty well for far less. I have a 6L UltraSonic cleaning tank, with a CleanerVinyl device to spin the record while cleaning in a 40C Distilled Water and TergiKleen solution. Once cleaned in this for 15 minutes I vacuum them dry using a Record Doctor V. You can buy all of this and set it up to use for under $600 and it all works really well. I've rescued several of my older albums that I thought were "Done For" - they now play very quietly (with exception of a couple of scratches that cannot be fixed via cleaning). Yes, its a "manual" operation that takes a bit of work, but the results are well worth it :-)
