I have my P15 set to "always on", as I have a McIntosh preamp, and back when I had a MAC6700 the firmware got corrupted and it would not boot up, so the P15 is hooked to a 1500VA APC battery backup, and the "always on" keeps the equipment in "stand bye" mode all the time.
