FWIW I love the look of the Ultra 5's under the speakers. Has a very unique look. My rear speakers in my system for HT have Ultra SS with a Ultra Bases under them. They look great but not as great as the Ultra 5. Those are dimply beyond description sonically.
Incidentally I notice a small but definite difference in soundstage size and ultimate depth to the rear when listening in surround vs the front L/R speakers when all are driving.
There is just nothing like the 5's. 5 bearing layers with 5 sockets per bearing X 4 per speaker or component is mind blowing.
I'd love to hear them under tubes. Some folks have these under ARC electronics I've read that love them. I bet they do.
These will never leave my system (pry from my cold dead fingers). LOL.
