Denon and Marantz make their gear in a lot of different places - mostly Korea and Taiwan. A good operations group can make anything anywhere with very high quality and reliability - but it’s not easy!
I totally get the ‘Made in the Home Country’ gestalt because there is a lot of truth to it for sure.
