John may know, but I don't which Stillpoints SKU suits this application. I was hoping the supplied spikes would be a good starting point. I had considered lubricaing them. I usually use beeswax (or WD40
)as that stuff makes driving fasteners much easier but I decided to just quit and see what advice Revel has to offer. They really don't feel remotely like they fit, and I consider myself a half competent shade tree mechanic. I can chase the threads of the spikes, or the captive nuts for that matter, but I'm not going to guess at the diameter and pitch of the nuts as I have no way to measure blind captive fasteners.
