Any users of the LP-27a care to share their favorite tube choices? I personally am using Sylvania 27's, RCA 6BX7GT, and a Sylvania 80 rectifier. I am enjoying it quite a bit, but not sure what else I should try. Pretty happy at the moment.
Do the 57 tubes just add more gain to the circuit?...or does it also change the overall dynamics and slam of the circuit?

56 tubes have a bit more gain and they do sound different than the 27's. It's personal preference. I don't find much difference in 27's or 6BX7's. Just try to get well tested tubes.
