The DR of 6 or more sound more realistic, with 9 being awesome. I'm going off of Zoon's DR rating, not loudness war's rating.

I'm not sure what file type AP has for this title, so I'm not sure if this applies... But if you're playing through your Oppo 205, try the Linear Phase Fast filter (my favorite, not bright/fatiguing, entirely natural sounding to me) or try Corrected Minimum Phase Fast, which rolls off the high end if bright or fatiguing sound is system related.
I know it doesn't do anything to mitigate recordings with ultra low DR values, but maybe it'll make them more enjoyable.
