Hello. I highly recommend this miniseries, Retribution, now available on Netflix. The show is a 4 episode crime drama with each episode approximately one hour of play time. The miniseries was first released by BBC Studios called One of Us. The basic concept and plot line of the miniseries is centered around a double homicide and the aftermath and tragedy that involves the two families of the deceased victims. The setting is in a small town in the Scottish Highlands in the current century. The writing, cast, and acting is exceptional in that I was pulled into the story. The miniseries allowed me to suspend disbelief and experience the moments being played out. The story is quite dark and melancholic and truly makes you think about the nature of “who we are and what is a family’s legend or legacy” (if you really want to scratch deep beneath the veneer then I would say “does anybody know who anyone else really is”)? With that being said, I would not recommend watching this with your children.
