Interestingly enough though Esoteric D1X docs say it will play MQA files and MQA CDs once firmware updates and certification are complete. Absolute Sound also mentions this. Kind of makes you wonder if there is a Grandioso N1X in the future...
Their Japan site also has a high level press release from mid 2018 saying the N05 and N03T have an update download that lets them play back MQA....whether that allows unfold or not remains to be determined.
