I'm new here. Hope I'm posting this in the right place.

Just bought some Dynaudio Excite x16 second hand. Happy with the sound but didn't realise until I tracked the serial numbers to the shop that the seller mentioned they came from originally, that they are 10 years old. Now I am wondering purely about the ferrofluid in the tweeters. Yes they still sound great at the moment, but how long have I got? Should I sell them while they're still good and buy brand new Dynaudios like I almost did? I know there must be countless speakers out there over 20-something years old with the ferrofluid still not congealed, but I'm after opinions about the x16s or other even older Dynaudio products and how long I should expect the tweeters to function as they should. I'm really hoping to hear about lots of old speakers where this is not an issue, if that's not just wishful thinking!

Thanks

Keir
