I had B&W 802D's and I replaced them with Sonus Faber Amati Futura's about 2 year's ago. I was very happy with the 802's until I heard the Amati's. The main reason why I changed was the better bass response, better detail, the highs from the 802's wore you down…fatigue. My two cents is that I went from a good entry level speaker to a great....higher end sound with the Amati's. I run Classe CAM 400's with this system and I am very happy with the Sonus Faber results.

I would also state that I think the original SF Amati's look nicer than the current lineup. Just my 2 cents. I saw them at AXPONA and they look plain to me. I have the original chrome end caps and they go very well with my Grand Prix stands etc. I do have my eye on the Il Cremonese as an upgrade. I originally loved the Lilium, but I think that the Il Cremonese sound better and takes up less space.
