I've only heard the Aida once, when I popped into Sonus Faber Asia in Hong Kong a couple of years ago. I thought they sounded absolutely amazing. I never expected the difference to Amati Futura to be as huge as it was, despite the price difference. (Although the Fururas may have been crippled by being set up fairly close to the very large Aidas.)
