The background is pitch black, much better then what you can achieve with WBY. These are the significant differences. WEL is tonally richer, has better separation and resolution, the staging is more precise but all these differences although evident are not breathtaking... But the extension and the resolution of the bass, the blackness, the layering and the body... there's simply no contest between the two regarding these characteristics!
