I also experienced that: perfectly flat curve (or "line"
), but the sound got somewhat artificial and strange, and I preferred the uncorrected version.
I think the measurement in one point and software correction of the DG-58 is a bit too simple to be able to effectively "perfectly" correct, without introducing in the process some side effects.
So now that I have speakers better suited to my room, and the room passively corrected, I can let the DG-58 do only a smooth voicing, to match small L & R response differences and tame some of the residual 40Hz modal I have.
In the end, using it like that, I find it does a nice job, noticeably improving the sound without sounding strange.
