Default Apple TV or Fire TV?
Craig, although I have two Apple TVs, I think a Roku streaming stick is enough in your case. Reasons: small, no external power, not expensive.

Edit: sorry, it needs external power supply. It’s been a long time since I looked at the back of my TV
