About 15 years ago, friends of mine in Flagstaff AZ made a bet with their local weathermen. They bet that they could predict the morning and evening weather better than the weatherman over a 30 day period despite not having all the weather gauges, meters and computer modeling equipment of the weather bureau.
At the end of the month, the winners were my friends. When asked by the weathermen how they did it, they said "WE HAVE A WINDOW!" Whatever the weather was doing, the simply predicted more of it for the next 12 hour period.
