I understand what Ken is trying to convey with the posts. He mentioned what it does in his envirionment in the midrange and upper treble and you are focusing on that one statement. Having owned numerous ARC products, I remember from ARC past models they always "voice" their top tier preamplifier above the lower models. I went thru this when I owned an SP14 and heard the dealers SP15 as a comparison.The Ref 6 is a fantastic preamp. I listened to it two weeks ago. I have a Ref 5SE and I am happy with it. I can only dream of a Ref 10 replacing my Ref 5SE.
