I have had both in my system. The Momentum were the older M300 monoblocks. The Progression monoblocks were not at my dealer yet and I ended up blind buying without hearing them in my system. In my setup, I can hear that the midrange in the M300 was slightly more forward and perhaps richer in it's midrange presentation. More "tube like" as others describe it. The Progression monoblocks also have the same midrange "voicing" but slightly more "neutral" and not in the same row with it's soundstaging in it's presentation to my ears. The Progression definitely have way more headroom which is probably why the new Momentums have a newer power supply? If I had deep pockets and could take such a huge hit then Momentum stereo or the monoblocks. However since I live in the real world I chose the Progression monoblocks.
