Transformer hum
Does anyone experience transformer hum on their Shindo preamp or Mr. T.? Matt said slight humming is normal, depending on the time of day. It also depends on the shelf the units are rested on. Some shelf can amplify the hum, which is totally understandable.
For me, hum is the same in terms of loudness or quality regardless of time. The Mr. Ts. are only audible within 2 feet. I can deal with that. But, the Aurieges hums is quite loud. I can clearly hear it at my listening position. With all 3, the humming is annoying at quiet passages.
I hear NO hum on my 15-year-old pre and power amp.
