Was just perusing the measurements of the new ML No. 5805 integrated rated at 125wpc@8ohm. Got me to wondering, so I dug up the measurements (both from JA at Stereophile) for the No. 383 rated at 100wpc@8ohm to compare. The No. 383 makes 11.5wpc more at 8ohm and 20wpc more at 4ohm. No a big difference, but......... Was good to read that they both passed the 30min at 1/3 power (JA's torture-test for class A/B amps - only about half the amps tested pass without a protection shutdown of some sort) with no problems (both are properly heat-sinked for their power rating). Could not be happier with mine.

Edit: Did e-mail ML asking what fuses are in the 383 (not in the OM) and they responded three times within the hour. Two automated responses. 1st telling me they have my question and would respond within 48hr. 2nd from their usual responder stating he was out of the office until whenever and the e-mail was being forwarded. 3rd from a service tech who gave me the answer to my question on the fuse ratings. Pretty efficient.
