In any case, SIG all the way! Accurate as heck, reliable, modern and effcient design. I got the Beretta because I already have a few SIGs but having to choose between the two, SIG my friend, especially compared to the Storm. If this gun is going to be used for home protection/carry purposes, get the model with night sights.

"The P229® DAK™ is the standard pistol of the Dept. of Homeland Security and the U.S. Coast Guard who selected the P229 after a 3 million round grueling torture test. A favorite among law enforcement professionals, the P229 offers compact size, choice in firepower of 9mm, .357 SIG or .40 S&W, tactical versatility of an accessory rail, double-action only and the unbeatable performance that only comes from SIG SAUER® all in one package."

Thanks for your feedback Serge. The P228 is discontinued; however, they are still readily available. Both the P228 & P229 felt good with the P228 being somewhat lighter. I wasn't aware of the Homeland Security or Coast Guard so I will definitely keep that in mind. The good news is the range I'm going to go to has the P229 available to rent but not the Storm. Again, thanks for the input as it helps make my decision.
